CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
Date Issued: August 4, 2016

UTILITY RELOCATION ON SANTA FE AVENUE OVERHEAD TO UNDERGROUND

As part of the City of Los Angeles' Bureau of Engineering's Sixth Street Viaduct Project, the contractor Skanska Stacy and Witbeck (SSW) and its subcontractors will be relocating overhead utilities to underground.

WHAT:            Relocation of DWP Communication Line – Overhead to Underground

WORK HOURS:     7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

LOCATION: Southbound Santa Fe Ave between Willow St and Jesse St
TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Southbound Shoulder Closed
ANTICIPATED DATES: Thursday, August 4th through Friday, September 30th

LOCATION: Southbound Santa Fe Ave between Willow St and Jesse St    Southbound Directional Closure
TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Flaggers will be used to route traffic
ANTICIPATED DATES: Monday, August 29th through Friday, Sepember 9th

LOCATION: Eastbound 6th St frontage Rd between
Imperial St and Santa Fe Ave    
RAFFIC IMPACTS: Eastbound Directional Closure, Local Acess Only
ANTICIPATED DATES: Monday, August 22th through Friday, September 9th


WORK DESCRIPTION:
•    Potholing, sawcutting, excavation, conduit installation, and sidewalk/street restoration
•    Heavy equipment will be used including: excavators/backhoes, front-end loaders, trucks, and jackhammers

ADVISORIES:
•    Directional signage and/or flagger personnel will be used to safely direct vehicles and pedestrians around the construction zone
•    Pedestrians will be directed to utilize the eastern sidewalk
•    Please obey all posted construction signs and do not enter the construction work zone
